Hopefully we can say goodbye to spring snow, at least for this week!  Spring time weather has finally arrived in VA!  I read an interesting article today about the meaning of spring.  According to the article spring is all about starting FRESH!  The article went on to say with a new start we should try starting to rebuild and rekindle friendships and old flames.!!  YIKES!  Five people in your life you should forgive and give another shot are:  your best friend, your mom, your significant other, that stranger, yourself..YES YOU!!  Can you think of 5 people you should forgive today?  If so, pick up the phone call them and let them know you are willing to let it all go…no explanation needed, no apologies!!!  Life is too short for the unnecessary drama.

Midday Motivation:  Cheer Up:  Sometimes even the wrong choices bring us to the right places.  It doesn’t matter what mistakes you made yesterday…today is a brand new day to grab hold to new opportunities and possibilities.  Don’t beat yourself up over that mistake.  Your mistake does not define who you are, nor does it keep you from achieving your dreams.  Think about it…that one wrong choice put you on the right path to be a better person, to be successful.  Sometimes we have to fall down in order to get up!  EMPOWER yourself with positive thoughts and anyone around you that’s negative toss them off the team QUICK!  Don’t worry about yesterday, today is a chance to learn from your mistakes!  GIVE IT ALL YOU’VE GOT!  Make this move the best one yet!  Think positive, be inspired and empower your dreams!

Talk of the Town Facebook Conversation:  Dozens of people rallied on the downtown mall yesterday to support same sex marriage.  The Supreme Court is set to take up the issue, but before they do, it’s time for you to weigh in on same sex marriage.  The question is simple, do you think same sex marriage should be legal?  Chime in and share your thoughts respectfully & then cast your vote on facebook.

Sending positive vibes and love to all my co-workers.  Thanks for the love and continued support.  You are truly appreciated!

Coffee Talk:  Dionne Warrick is heading to bankruptcy court.  The soul singer owes more than $10.7 million in taxes to the IRS & the state of California.  Warwick’s publicist said the personal bankruptcy filing ws due to “negligent and gross financial mismanagement” in the late 80′s through the mid 90′s.  Lesson, always keep you eye on your money no matter how much you pay someone else to babysit your cash for you! ******This Easter Sunday, be sure to tine into the 21st Annual Trumpet Awards to witness notable African-Americans get honored for their achievements.  Hosted by Rickey Smiley and actress Essence Atkins, the night’s honorees include musicians Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson.  The honorees will be serenaded by a who’s who of Gospel/R & B vocalist, including Fantasia, Anthony Hamilton, Luke James, Avant, Tamela Mann, Jennifer Holiday and the R & B Divas cast.  The show will air on Sunday, March 31st @ 8 pm EST on TV On, an re-air at 11 PM EST.******Another housewife is heading to splitsville.  Looks like its a wrap for Kordel and Porsha Stewart.  The former Pittsburgh Steelers star, has decided to slash his marriage in half , so to speak.  Porsha who stars on the “Real Housewives of ATL” —said she is disappointed about her husband’s recent filing for divorce…and she claims she found out by reading it on a website!!  YIKES…that’s COLD HEARTED!!!

If you are heading to check out in your favorite department store and can’t find the cash register!  Don’t panic & SORRY IT”S NOT FREE!!  Many department stores across the country are ditching cash registers.  Instead, salespeople – and even shoppers themselves – ring up sales on smartphones and tablet computers!  OH MY!!  This could get ugly – no internet service, bad cell service..then what….Urban Outfitters and Barneys New York and testing in several markets.  And Wal-Mart the world’s largest retailer, is testing a “Scan & Go” app that lets customers scan their items as they shop.  What do you think of all this new technology?  Sounds like more work on me the consumer!!!

78% of women plan to do this in the morning but decide against it when the alarm goes off….What is it?  Take a guess?  (i’ll post the answer at the end of this update)

What’s your least favorite after work task or chore?  Me…It’s cooking!  I love cooking but after a long day on the J-O-B…I’m exhausted and really don’t feel like standing in the kitchen, chopping, prepping or cooking.  Monday is my left over day and Friday is the day that the family is in a restaurant.  Doesn’t look like I’m alone…According to a new survey, the two days people HATE cooking are….Monday and Friday.  They each got 39% of the vote.  The other five days combined for the remaining 22%.  What’s your worst day to cook?

Extended Weekend forecast:  Heading into the Easter weekend, I think it’s safe to say we can say goodbye to the spring snow.  Tomorrow partly cloudy skies with a high of 51, Friday, clear skies with a high of 54 and Saturday, mostly clear with a high of 60 degrees.  Things are looking warming up for Easter Sunday, but you might want to hold off on that outdoor Easter egg hunt, or at least have a backup plan, there’s a 20% chance of rain early in the day with a high of 65.

The Answer to the above Question is….GO TO THE GYM!!  I’m guilty, what about you?

Enjoy your evening and let’s chat again tomorrow.
